Howdy!

Natalie Carrasco is a mother, photographer, writer, gardener, and sun-drenched yogi based in Arizona. She thrives best in nature, surrounded by good company with a glass of chilled orange in tow. If she's not at the Arboretum with her husband or daydreaming about which country to travel to next, she's likely sipping a spicy Mezcalita while waiting her turn at late-night karaoke. She values her family, scrappy dogs, hand-built home, adventurous spirit, and 2017 Subaru Outback.

As a lover of prose and human connection, her work centers on the intersection of slow living, visual storytelling, and artistic reportage. She has over 10 years as a photographer working for top-named brands and publications and has extensive experience in editorial production and marketing discourse. She holds two Bachelor's degrees in Anthropology and Global Studies, having traveled to over 30 countries (and counting).

Currently Head Editor of The Moment Journal and mother of The Sunporch newsletter on Substack. Natalie strives to build a robust creative community while combatting the commercial status quo.

  • For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the power of images and stories, using photography as my language of expression and gratitude. I see my work as a chronicle of human connection — an exploration of nature, bright colors, warm tones, and “commercial” imagery that dares to challenge the status quo. As a film-first analog lover, I savor the intentional, unhurried process of capturing a moment undisturbed, preserving how it felt.

    4. I used to be a punk-rock drummer and skateboarder in Middle School. Don’t know what happened there.
