Sunset portrait of editorial photographer and writer, Natalie Carrasco on film.

Howdy!

Natalie Carrasco is a mother, photographer, writer, and sun-drenched gardener based in Arizona. She thrives best in nature, surrounded by good company with a glass of chilled orange in tow. If she's not at the Arboretum with her husband or daydreaming about which country to travel to next, she's likely sipping a spicy Mezcalita while waiting her turn at late-night karaoke.

Her work carries an intimate, distinctly Americana sensibility, rooted in deep connections to the places she visits and the people she meets. She tells stories through images and words shaped by natural light and minimal processing, always in service of the core narrative. Her focus is environmental portraiture across home, garden, travel, and lifestyle — feeling equal parts organic, earthy, and warm.

Natalie has spent eight years as Editor in Chief of the Moment Journal, building a standout creative community-led publication while challenging the commercial status quo. As a photographer and editorial lead, she’s partnered with brands and publishers including Subaru, Ford Bronco, Marriott Bonvoy, Andaz, Leica Camera, Fujifilm, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, and Travel + Leisure, and has worked on campaigns alongside agencies like Wieden+Kennedy. She writes The Sunporch on Substack, shoots both digital & analog film, and is available worldwide.

  • For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the power of images and stories, using photography as my language of expression and gratitude. I see my work as a chronicle of human connection — an exploration of nature, bright colors, warm tones, and “commercial” imagery that dares to challenge the status quo. As a film-first analog lover, I savor the intentional, unhurried process of capturing a moment undisturbed, preserving how it felt.

    3. I hate cold weather.

    4. I used to be a punk-rock drummer and skateboarder in Middle School. Don’t know what happened there.

    5. Drip coffee, light cream. That’s it.
